2025 MG Comet EV : JSW MG Motor India has introduced the 2025 Comet electric cars in India. The brand’s tiny electric car now costs Rs 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It is also offered with the option of Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS), which costs Rs 2.5 per kilometre. Along with this, the brand has made certain improvements to the electric car’s feature list in order to improve comfort, convenience, and safety.
2025 MG Comet comes in five different trim levels
Beginning with the specifics of the variants. The 2025 MG Comet comes in five different trim levels: Executive, Excite, Excite Fast Charge, Exclusive, and Exclusive Fast Charging. In terms of improvements, the Excite and Excite FC editions of the car now include a rear parking camera and power-folding ORMS. Meanwhile, the Exclusive and Exclusive FV models now get leatherette seats and a four-speaker audio system. Similarly, FC models use a 17.4 kWh battery pack that provides a 230 km range on a single charge.
The MG Comet EV also has dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, a speed-sensing auto door lock, a tyre pressure monitoring system, a reverse parking camera, an electronic parking brake, follow me home headlights, electronic stability control and more.

MG Motor India boosted their electric car lineup in February 2025 with the debut of the Comet Blackstorm Edition, priced at Rs 7.80 lakh (ex-showroom). This version of the vehicle has a distinctive ‘Starry Black’ paint scheme, with dark chrome and red highlights on certain sections. Furthermore, the MG Comet Blackstorm Edition has leatherette upholstery with custom embroidery.
Aside from the MG Comet, the Backstrom Edition treatment is available for other brand models such as the Hector, Astor, and others. All of the cars in this edition have a special black paint scheme with red highlights.
