Before the terror attack, YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra visited Pahalgam and communicated with Pakistani agents.

Jyoti Malhotra : It has come to light during the ongoing investigations into YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra’s alleged case of spying for Pakistan that three months prior to the terror incident that occurred there in April of this year, Jyoti traveled to Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir.

A Pakistani High Commission staffer, Danish, who is thought to be connected to Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), has also been exposed as having set up a honey trap for Jyoti.

Jyoti was arrested for allegedly giving sensitive information to the ISI.

Shesh Paul Vaid, the former Director General of Police of Jammu and Kashmir, made the revelations.

“Is it a coincidence that YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra, who was honeytrapped by a Danish, and a Pakistani High Commission employee (most likely an ISI agent) visited Pahalgam in January 2025? She was allegedly sending critical information to ISI handlers,” he wrote on X.

“Our intelligence services normally keep under surveillance those frequently visiting the countries or High Commissions of anemy nations like Pakistan, China and now Bangladesh,” (sic), he further stated.

Jyoti Malhotra was detained on May 17

Jyoti was detained on May 17 on charges of transferring sensitive information to Pakistani intelligence operatives.

The police discovered that Malhotra, who operates the YouTube channel Travel with JO and is from Hisar in Haryana, visited Puri in September 2024 and met a woman in the coastal town who is also a YouTuber, Puri SP Vinit Agrawal said news agency PTI.

Jyoti Malhotra has 3.77 lakh YouTube subscribers

Jyoti, who has 3.77 lakh YouTube subscribers and 1.33 lakh Instagram followers, allegedly communicated with a Pakistani staffer at the Pakistan High Commission in Delhi.

On May 13, India expelled the Pakistani official for allegedly engaging in espionage.

According to the SP, the woman from Puri recently visited the Kartarpur Sahib Gurdwara in Pakistan.

Five other people were arrested alongside Jyoti for allegedly spying on India and supplying information to Pakistan’s ISI since the start of Operation Sindoor.

According to officials, all of those arrested were in frequent contact with the ISI and provided intelligence to the enemy.
