Rajnath Singh promises a tough response to the Pahalgam terror assault, saying the “nation will get what it wants under PM Modi “

On Sunday, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh promised the public that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership will ensure that the people’s will is upheld and that those involved for the Pahalgam terror attack would face a firm and appropriate response.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stated

Speaking at the Sanskriti Jagran Mahotsav in New Delhi, the Defence Minister referenced the public emotion that has risen in the aftermath of the April 22 terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baisaran Valley, in which 26 tourists were killed and 17 others injured.

“Prime Minister Modi is known for his unwavering resolve, perseverance, and work ethic. His life’s dangers show his strength. “I assure you that under PM Modi’s leadership, ‘jaisa aap chahte hain, waisa hokar rahega’ — whatever the nation demands, that will be done,” Singh said, speaking directly to the aspirations of the Indian population.

The Defence Minister emphasized his role in national security, stating that he must preserve the country’s frontiers and respond in a “befitting manner” to those who question India’s sovereignty. “It is my obligation as Defense Minister to protect the country alongside our armed troops. “Those who dare to harm India will face the consequences,” he stated.

The government’s diplomatic offensive following the attacks

Following the Pahalgam incident, India has launched a multi-pronged diplomatic reprisal against Pakistan, which it blames for encouraging cross-border terrorism. The Integrated Check Post (ICP) in Attari has been closed, the SAARC Visa Exemption Scheme for Pakistani nationals has been suspended, and they have been given 40 hours to depart India. Both countries have likewise cut the number of diplomats in their respective High Commissions.

Significantly, India has paused the implementation of the Indus Waters Treaty, a historic deal signed in 1960 to manage shared river resources, marking a significant shift in bilateral relations.

PM Modi’s resolute stand against terrorism

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has promised that all guilty for the attack, including the perpetrators and masterminds, will be brought to justice. Calling it a watershed moment in India’s war against terrorism, the Prime Minister stated that the time has come to “destroy the last remaining shelters of terror,” adding that the willpower of 140 crore Indians will break the back of terrorists once and for all.

This idea was reaffirmed by Rajnath Singh in his speech, who emphasized that India’s resilience is fueled by its rich cultural and spiritual heritage as well as its military prowess.

The Pahalgam terror incident, one of the bloodiest in recent years against civilians, has caused widespread indignation and strained India-Pakistan relations. As the central government increases security and diplomatic responses, the message is clear: India is ready to take decisive action in defense of its people and sovereignty.
