India Bangladesh Border : BSF and Railway Protection Force Boost Security Near Bangladeshi Border

India Bangladesh Border : The Northeast Frontier Railway’s Railway Protection Force (RPF) has launched combined patrols in vulnerable locations along the India-Bangladesh border.

India Bangladesh Border : joint patrolling is being undertaken

The joint patrolling is being done in coordination with the Government Railway Police (GRP) and the Border Security Force (BSF).

Enhancing border security and ensuring the safety of railway assets and passengers along the Bangladeshi border are the goals of this significant development.

The newly established joint patrolling by the RPF, GRP, and BSF is intended to improve surveillance and deter any untoward incidents along railway routes close to international borders.

Joint patrolling has taken place across various divisions of the NFR, with a special emphasis on sections near the India-Bangladesh border.

Teams from the RPF, GRP, and BSF have performed rigorous surveillance of railway infrastructure, looking for signs of tampering, incursion, or potential threats, as well as ensuring the overall readiness of the region’s railway safety systems, according to NFR sources.

Since the fall of the Sheikh Hasina regime in Bangladesh last year, several Bangladeshi citizens have been arrested for illegal entry into India at various railway stations in the northeast, close to the Bangladesh border. Rohingyas have historically utilized this territory to illegally cross between India and Bangladesh.
