In an exciting batting outburst, 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi (38 balls, 101 runs) scored the second-fastest century in IPL history, doing so in just 35 balls. His furious innings, paired with a 166-run stand with Yashasvi Jaiswal, propelled Rajasthan Royals (RR) to an 8-wicket victory over Gujarat Titans (GT) at Jaipur.
Suryavanshi and Jaiswal’s 166-run partnership is the greatest for the Rajasthan Royals on any wicket, shattering the previous record of 155 runs set by Jos Buttler and Devdutt Padikkal against the Delhi Capitals at Wankhede in 2022.

GT’s remarkable performance with bat
Gujarat Titans put on a fantastic display with the bat, scoring 209/4 against the Rajasthan Royals after being given the opportunity to bat first. Captain Shubman Gill led the way with a fiery 84, while Jos Buttler smashed an unbeaten half-century to secure a strong finish.
The Titans got off to a good start with an excellent opening stand from Shubman Gill and Sai Sudarshan. The duo put together a 93-run partnership for the first wicket. Sai Sudarshan looked poised as he batted 39 off 30 balls before Mahesh Theekshana broke the stand.

Gill continued to dominate, scoring 84 from 50 deliveries, including five fours and four sixes. His removal came against Sandeep Sharma, but he had already laid the groundwork for Gujarat’s massive score.
Jos Buttler then took command in the closing overs, smashing an unbeaten 50 off only 26 balls to propel Gujarat above 200 runs. Shahrukh Khan contributed significantly with a fast 5* off two balls.
Mahesh Theekshana was Rajasthan’s standout bowler, taking 2 wickets. Jofra Archer and Sandeep Sharma each claimed one wicket but were unable to stem the tide of runs.
