16 Pakistani YouTube channels : On Monday, India banned 16 Pakistani YouTube channels for spreading provocative and communally sensitive content, false and misleading narratives, and misinformation. The measure was made based on the Ministry of Home Affairs’ suggestion.
16 Pakistani YouTube channels : The MHA issued a list of prohibited networks, which included famous Pakistani news stations Dawn News and Geo News.
It also expressed “strong sentiments” over a BBC news item on the Pahalgam terror assault and stated that an official letter had been addressed to them regarding the labeling of terrorists as “militants”. It stated the BBC’s reporting would be watched.
In a separate case of fraud, an investigation has been launched into the reported suspicious activities of Lucknow’s Aadhaar Seva Kendra (ASK), which were allegedly linked to the generation of fake IDs for Pakistani nationals who were asked to leave India after their visas were revoked by the Centre.

The increased activity across all platforms follows the heinous terrorist assault in Pahalgam’s Baisaran Valley, which claimed the lives of 26 people, the majority of whom were tourists. A number of persons were injured. Major search activities have been begun in Jammu & Kashmir, and the Central Government has implemented strict measures in response to the incident.
In the aftermath of the attack, tensions between India and Pakistan have risen, with Islamabad troops firing “unprovoked” along the LoC, violating the ceasefire. The Indian Army has retaliated promptly.
