The gesture occurred as members of the Indian community protested outside Pakistan High Commission in London on Friday, condemning the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam.

Colonel Taimur Rahat, Pakistan Army and Air Advisor at the High Commission in London, has been identified as the accused Pakistani official. In footage circulating on social media, he is shown publicly threatening Indian community activists with a “throat slit” sign.

Over 500 British Hindus protested outside the Pakistan Embassy on Friday in response to the terrorist assault in Pahalgam. Indian community members carried Indian flags, posters, and placards as they mourned the loss of innocent lives and sought justice for the deaths. They also chanted slogans condemning Pakistan for hosting terrorist groups guilty for such atrocities.

The Pakistani High Commission allegedly played loud music and made rude remarks when others were in mourning.
According to news agency ANI, the protest organiser stated, “In a disturbing and disgraceful turn of events, officials within the Pakistan Embassy were seen playing loud joyous music during the protest–a tone-deaf and disgraceful act that added deep insult to an already grievous injury.”
The Indian community urged the UK government to summon Pakistan’s High Commissioner for an official explanation.

Following the terror strikes in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, India and Pakistan have implemented diplomatic and counter-terrorism steps. India resolved to suspend the Indus Water Treaty, ordered all Pakistani nationals to return home, and declared the military advisors at the Pakistani Embassy in New Delhi persona non grata.
Pakistan responded by closing its airspace to all Indian flights, sealing the Wagah border, suspending all trade with India, and reconsidering the Simla accord.
