RuPay Credit Card : Follow these steps to learn how to link your credit card to Google Pay.

However, many payment apps now include the option to attach credit cards. Google Pay now offers the ability to link credit cards. This, however, requires the use of a RuPay credit card. Let us inform you that RuPay credit cards are now available at all major public and private banks. These cards are issued by major banks such as SBI, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, PNB, Axis Bank, and many regional and cooperative banks.

How to Add RuPay Credit Card to Google Pay?

  • To begin using your RuPay credit card for UPI transactions, you must first register with Google Pay using your legitimate Gmail ID. Then follow the instructions outlined below.
  • Launch Google Pay on your mobile device.
  • Then click on your profile image and select ‘Payment Methods’.
  • Select the ‘Add RuPay Credit Card’ option. Select your bank and enter your card information (CVV, number, and expiration date).
  • Authenticate the card with the OTP supplied to your registered mobile number.
  • Set or confirm your UPI PIN to ensure secure transactions. Once you’ve added your RuPay debit credit card, you’ll be able to make UPI payments using the QR code, UPI ID, or merchant handle.

UPI transactions linked to bank accounts are completely free. However, Google Pay has begun to charge convenience fees for bill payments made with credit cards, including RuPay. In March, UPI transactions in India achieved a record high of ₹ 24.77 lakh crore, a 12.7% increase over February. Furthermore, this statistic represents a 25% increase in overall value and a 35% increase in volume over last year.
