Jitin Prasada: Women-led startups are experiencing success in over 600 districts throughout India

Jitin Prasada : According to Minister of State for IT and Electronics (MeitY) Jitin Prasada, women-led startups thrive in more than 600 districts of India’s digital ecosystem.

Prasada noticed that women run more than half of the enterprises in these districts.

He made the remarks while inaugurating the fourth session of the India Online Governance Forum (IIGF) at Bharat Mandapam.

This year’s topic, “Innovating Internet Governance for India,” underlines the country’s commitment to using the Internet to promote sustainable, inclusive, and equitable growth.

He also underlined how government programs have decreased the digital gap by delivering technology to remote regions and creating opportunities for everyone.

“Today, 95 per cent of our villages have accessibility to 3G-4G internet access, and our startup environment has reached over 600 districts, with more than half led by women,” Prasada told the crowd.

Jitin Prasada stated about digital transformation

Prasada stated that India’s quick digital transformation efforts serve as a paradigm for the rest of the world.

With more than 1.4 billion residents and about 1 billion users of the internet, India has emerged as a thriving online economy, setting worldwide standards for innovation and inclusivity.

“India’s dramatic path over the last decade, marked by achievements like UPI, Aadhaar, and the Bharat Net project, can serve as a model for other countries,” He stated

The MoS underlined the importance of working together to establish digital regulations that represent the ideals of equality, transparency, and sustainability, ensuring that the Internet continues to be a positive force.

The Minister emphasised the transformative potential of artificial intelligence while presenting the government’s ambition to establish India as a worldwide leader in AI.

Our objective is to create AI in India and make artificial intelligence work for India as well as AI for all,” he told me.

The event, which provided a vibrant forum for conversation and action, brought together politicians, industry executives, and civil society to discuss the future of Internet regulation.
