Ishan Sharma : IIT Candidate Rejects YouTuber Employment Offer Despite ‘Excellent’ Salary; Here’s What Actually

Ishan Sharma, a YouTuber with over 1.5 million subscribers, revealed that a candidate he had chosen for a video editing post in Bengaluru unexpectedly resigned just before starting—a situation he had previously seen.

The YouTuber uploaded a screenshot of the applicant’s email denying the offer, in which the applicant explained why they did not accept the position.

“I looked into hiring a video editor. He accepted the parameters of the proposal. Then it sends me this email. “This has happened to me several times,” Sharma said on X (previously Twitter), asking guidance from his followers on what to do next.

In his email to Sharma, the IIT Madras student indicated that he had carefully studied the job offer before deciding that he would be unable to accept it.

The candidate’s email adds, “I’ve given a lot of thought to the offer, and I recognize that I signed it. We also chatted this morning. Even yet, after considering the issue, I’ve decided that I won’t be able to join you. The main reason is that I believe leaving IIT campus at this point in my life is not the best decision for me. I hope to remain here for at least another year or two. “This is the last choice, and it will not changed.”

“It’s not only the compensation or anything else; your offer was excellent, and I’m delighted to be considered for this post . I truly apologize for any time wasted for you and your team,” it went on.

Some people thought that the candidate might have declined the position due to a low wage offer. “You honestly pay very little, Ishan. Please ask me how I know this. One of the X users wrote, “Some of the people who worked on your team were my close companions; they left you to join my team for money.”

Here is X’s response to Ishan Sharma’s publish:

According to a few users, the IIT Madras student may have rejected down the position because of the poor income offer.

“I am not a hater, but I have heard from some guys that you paid editors far less what your company is worth.. Could this be the reason?” X user Bablu Sharma stated.

“You actually pay very little, Ishan. Ask me how I know this. Sahil Gondhedekar, a video editor, stated, “Some of the editors from your team were my friends; they quit you to join my team for the money.”

Several other people questioned why the YouTuber was interviewing an IIT student for a video-editing position.

“Hire professionals and pay them a good compensation. They will stick together. “These college students change their mood every hour,” another user observed.
